A downloadable sprite collection

This is a single project that contains all sprites I will have made for the jam. I am not necessarily done even if this project is submitted to the jam. At the time of writing this I am still making sprites and I will add them here one by one.

The sprites on the right are scaled-up versions of the sprites used to see in a glance what I made --->

Download the sprites below to get the real-sized sprites ↓↓↓

By the way this jam is awesome, thanks Kusheete :0

the windows youve added are awesome!! youre the backbone of this cafe!!

I’ve never experienced being a back bone before but it’s quite nice I guess! You should eat more calcium and try it too!

Actually thanks lol

Hi !

I've been thinking quite a bit about floors (And telling myself that floors aren't meant to be customers. But that's beside the point). You asked for your floor tiles to cover only a portion of the floor real estate, and I'm currently wondering where it should go.

I still tried to tile the whole floor with your floor tiles just to see what would happen.

Here it is:

I don't think that it is too repetitive. Though it is a bit too noisy to fill the whole floor (which is fine since it's not it's goal :). This makes it hard to discern shapes that are placed on top (at least for me).

It's not actually an issue for interior floors to repeat: they usually have a motif irl. And besides, having some sort of distinguishable repeating pattern may help with image readability.

Anyways, I think I found it a job as the counter's floor:

Imo it fits quite well here. In addition, the floor transition is not to hard to create and is quite natural.
What do you think ? Is your floor happy here ? Should I place it somewhere else ?

To specify, I simply wanted to leave a chance to other people who are better at making floors than me to make a better floor, though if there is no other option I'm totally fine with it covering the whole café. I don't think it's a good idea to have a transparent floor. If you think it is too noisy to cover the whole place then it's totally fine, it can be the counter's floor. As a floor for the café, I think how repetitive it is could be coverd up if it is covered with other props (like tables).

👍

Yea, if no one had created some floor, I'd have made one. It's soo important to have one for the image to feel cohesive. I let the floor (and wall) be transparent so people don't think that there's already one.

And btw, thanks for your floor and walls, I do think they add a lot to the scene :D

Someone else told me they wanted to create some floor for the café, so there's gonna (at least) two sets :)

(1 edit)

Yes they actually did make their floor set!

Now I my floor can get its own little "counter floor" job 😎

Edit: wait two people made floors actually! Now we have 3 in total!!!

Thanks! I've basically never done pixel art before so I'm happy this works ^^

You haven't?!! I genuinly thought you were a pro already. That makes it even more amazing!

It's my first time too, I hope I did a good job ^^'.
